〜River of Stars〜 The Tanabata festival in Japan celebrates the stars in the sky. People make decorations with Origami paper and bamboo, and write wishes on strips of paper. In Japanese, the name for the Milky Way translates to "river of heaven". This piece combines fanciful depictions of the night sky with literal river imagery, reflects the cycle of day and night, and is projected onto layers of fabric hung overhead. Sky and water connect the whole world. Mixed media animation: photo, video, children's drawings and digital artifacts. Music by　Kent Ishimoto 〜星の川〜 日本の七夕祭りは、空の星を祝います。 折り紙や竹で飾りを作り、短冊に願い事を書きます。 日本語では天の川の名前は「天の川」を意味します。 この作品は、空想的な夜空の描写とキラキラ輝く川のイメージを組み合わせ、昼と夜のサイクルを反映し、頭上に吊るされた布の層に投影されます。 空と水は全世界と繋がっているように、人と地域が繋がり、みんなでこの空間をたのしみ、優しい時間を過ごせますように。 ミックスメディアアニメーション : 写真、ビデオ、子供の絵、デジタルエフェクト ミュージック：ケント イシモト 投影テクニック ４種類の白布を使い、天井に天の川を表現。 ２台のプロジェクターを使って、天上、壁、床に映している。 座っても、立っても、ゴロンと寝て見上げてもよしの空間演出。また、訪れた人が七夕飾りを作り飾ることができ、参加型のインスタレーションにもなる。 アナログ、デジタル、オーガニック、そして人間の共存を目指している。

Na cidade natal da autora, as crianças, sem saber o propósito, foram solicitadas a desenhar qualquer vida marinha que imaginassem. Fumie então realizou uma projeção ao vivo na casa da família, perto do mar do Japão. Surpresas, as crianças brincaram com a projeção. One of my dreams came true: making an installation using his song, connecting my birthplace to NY to my current home of Musashino city, Tokyo. Sung by residents of Itoigawa and Musashino spanning 3 generations. Music produced by @Kento Ishimoto from NY. ■A participatory installation Children put paper flowers on the wall to make a peach tree bloom. ■Projection onto the wall and floor Touchable space, children are able to run or sit and lay down on the floor. ■Play with light Use a flashlight to shine light on handmade planetariums as well as everyday items such as plastic rain cover, cups, and plates to enjoy the colors, shadows, and refractions.
